Welcome to Week 18’s Weekly Rewind We enjoyed reading about Jack and the Beanstalk this week. We learned about the various characters and how each of them had a different point of view. We made class posters about the characters from last week's reading of Cinderella and compared them to this week's story. During math this week we focused on two new strategies to help us solve the tricky factors of 6, 7, 8 and 9. We used our 5's facts to help us break apart larger factors into smaller ones. We also worked with the Distributive Property. Our Family Heritage projects are coming along great! So far we have discussed our interviews, picked an activity and planned out our project steps. In writing, we learned how to write an opinion paper. Using our stories from this week, we wrote about who we thought was the villain in Jack and the Beanstalk. Take a look at our photos and videos from this week. Take a minute to ask your child what they liked most about week 15 and post it in the comments below this post! |
